India clinches two bronze and two silver medals at EGMO
India celebrated a proud moment recently when four young Indian girls clinched two bronze and two silver medals at the 14th edition of the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) 2025.
The competition was held in Tskaltubo, Georgia.
The event was held from April 11 to April 17.
It saw the participation of over 60 countries.
The Indian all-girls team secured 12th position in the competition.
The silver medals were won by Shreya Mandhada (15) from Mumbai and Sanjana Chacko (16) from Kerala.
The bronze medals were won by Saee Patil (18) from Pune and Shreya Gupta (18) from Kolkata.

EGMO History
The inaugural EGMO was held at Murray Edwards College in Cambridge, UK, in April 2012, and was a great success, the official website said.
'Maths is not all about calculations'
One of the Indian participants Shreya Gupta told The Times of India: "Maths is not about calculations—it's like forming pictures in your head."
Silver medalist Sanjana Chacko told the newspaper: "We each have a way that works for us."
According to reports, Mandhada and Chacko are eligible to participate in the event next year.
