Liverpool thrash Tottenham Hotspur to lead Premier League table
London/IBNS: Liverpool maintained their dominance at the top of the points table thrashing Tottenham 6-3 in a match of nine goals in total at the Premier League on Sunday.

After registering consecutive draws in their last two matches against Newcastle and Fulham, Liverpool made a roaring comeback to the winning momentum in a game which could have been even more one-sided.
Twin goals by Luis Diaz (23rd and 85th minutes) and Mohamed Salah (54th and 61st minutes) led Liverpool run riot against Tottenham, who looked out of touch to only give a meek fight back towards the end of the show.
After Diaz's opening goal for Liverpool, the lead was extended by Alexis Mac Allister who scored with a header at 36th minute.
Four minutes to the half-time, James Maddison brought Tottenham back in the game registering his eighth goal of the season.
Dominik Szoboszlai hit the injury-ridden Tottenham early in the second and final half further improving the lead before Salah with his two goals and the second score from Diaz took the game literally away from their opponents.
Two goals in quick time by Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke might have given a faint ray of hope for Tottenham fans but the men in red, who could have extended the lead further, marched towards victory with absolute dominance and conviction.
".. It doesn't matter who plays. We give our best on the pitch. Champions League cups and in the Premier League as well. That's why we are at the top of the table and top of the Champions League," says Dominik Szoboszlai after the thumping win.
