156 schools to identify for introduction of PM SHRI Schools, Ratan Lal Nath
Altogether 156 schools in all 58 blocks and 20 urban bodies of the state will be identified for up gradation under PM SHRI Schools (PM Schools for Rising India) schemes.
Addressing a press conference here at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday evening, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that more than 14,500 schools will be developed across India under the PM SHRI scheme with all the components of NEP 2020.
He said that NEP 2020 encourages a holistic, flexible and multidisciplinary approach to education as envisioned by the Prime Minister. "It is based on foundational pillars of access, equality, quality, affordability and accountability. It is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 2030 goals."
Nath added that online, open and multi-modal learning has been promoted under the PM- eVidya.
The PM SHRI scheme has been implemented by the central government for the development of more than 14,500 schools across the country. The total project cost in PM SHRI scheme is Rs. 27,360 crore which includes a central share of Rs. 18,128 crores for the period of five years from the year 2022-23 to 2026-27.
The PM SHRI scheme will provide several benefits which include quality and innovation, Science and Math kits will be provided to these schools, annual school grants, early childhood care and education including balvatika and foundational literacy and numeracy equity and inclusion including the provision of safe and appropriate infrastructure for girls and CWSN, among other benefits. The PM SHRI scheme will also focus on strengthening existing infrastructures in schools and implementing green school initiatives.
Nath said that soon the identification for 156 schools will be completed and added that Vidyajyoti scheme is state sponsored scheme and it will be separated from PM SHRI Schools.
While giving details over the release of job offers for TET qualified candidates, Nath said that on Wednesday the Education department has released offer letters for 179 Post-Graduate Teachers (PGT) including 43 for economics, 46 for sociology, 49 for geography and 41 for physiology. He said that a total of 256 offers were released for TET-I and among them 196 persons submitted their offers till last date and the department has released 258 offers for TET-II and among them 247 persons submitted their offers.
Nath added that the Education department had already published advertisements through TRBT to fill up 3,108 vacant posts including 757 vacant posts for TET-I and 2,351 posts for TET-II. Apart from these, TRBT has also issued advertisements to fill up 60 more posts.
The Education Minister said that the Chama language will be introduced in 36 schools of the state including in secondary, higher secondary and in primary schools.
