Jitendra Chaudhury with top CPI (M) leaders visiting China
Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jitendra Chaudhury, who is also the CPI (M) Tripura state secretary and party’s politburo member along with other Politburo and Central Committee members on Monday leaving the country towards their China visit.
Sources said that Chaudhury and other top CPI (M) leaders on Monday midnight will board a plane from New Delhi international airport towards Hong Kong city and will reach Beijing on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources said that delegation members of CPI(M) included the party’s General Secretary M.A. Baby, politburo members like Md. Salim, Jitendra Chaudhury, Arun Kumar and Central Committee members like Dr. Hemalata, President of CITU and Sujata, CCM from Kerala
They are visiting China over invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and there, along with the top leadership of the CPC and leaders from several provinces such as Wuhan, Hangzhou, and Zhejiang will exchange experiences, discuss urban and rural development, and visit some of the most modern projects involved in building contemporary China.
A party statement said that “from our side, we will also lay special emphasis, to the best of our ability, on further strengthening the friendship between India and China.
