ADG-BSF visits remote border areas to review operational preparedness
The Additional Director General, BSF (Eastern Command), Ms. Sonali Mishra along with IG-BSF of Tripura frontier, Patel Piyush Purusottam Das visited insurgency infested border of the state on Thursday.
BSF sources said that the ADG (Eastern Command) visited the sites where development work was objected by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in the area of BOP H M Para, SPB Neelkanth. Commandant of 126th battalion of BSF and 122nd battalion briefed her about the operational preparedness and challenges being faced by BSF troops. She addressed available troops and emphasized upon mental and physical wellbeing and use of millet in daily diet. She applauded the tireless efforts and dedication of border men in safeguarding the borders and efforts made by BSF Tripura Frontier to control trans-border crimes.
Cultural programme was organized by children of village M K Para and articles of civic action programme were distributed by ADG (Eastern Command).
ADG (Eastern Command) witnessed a demonstration on “Accidental Fire” and planted fruits sapling at BOP. After visiting BSF Battalion headquarters at Maharanichera, she returned back at Frontier HQ Agaratala where she witnessed demo on MATS (Multi Ambush Threat Signal System).
ADG (Eastern Command) also took round of Salbagan campus and attended Sainik Sammelan followed by Barakhana.
