Assam Rifles, police seized Heroin worth Rs. 30 lakh in Tripura
In its continuing effort to curb drug trafficking and illegal activities in the region, Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with Police officials, seized a consignment of narcotics at Teliamura Railway Station, District Khowai, on September 10.
Acting on specific intelligence, the joint team intercepted a woman on train and recovered 300 grams of Heroin, cleverly concealed in 15 soap cases, valued at approximately Rs 30 lakhs in the international market.
The apprehended individual along with the seized narcotics has been handed over to the Police Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Assam Rifles, working in close coordination with other enforcement agencies, remains steadfast in its mission to combat drug trafficking and ensure the safety, peace and security of the region.
