BJP shows strength in Janajati Morcha rally, CM says party has given due respect to tribals
In a spectacular rally of the Janajati Morcha of BJP in Agartala on Thursday before a rally at Circuit House area and mass deputation before the Governor, the top leaders of the party has expressed their confidence that the BJP will retain power in next assembly elections with huge mandate by all sections of state’s people.
The rally of the Janajati Morcha of the party on Thursday morning started from Tulsibati school and after passing various thoroughfares of Agartala city, the rally ended at Circuit House area, where leaders like Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha , former CM and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb and other leaders of the party.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that they were told that the strength of BJP in hilly areas has reduced, but it is not true and gathering of huge Janajati people in the rally shows that the strength of BJP is increasing in the state.
“The BJP has only shown the strength of Janajati Morcha today, we have seven more Morchas,” said Dr Saha and claimed that people of the state do not like the closeness of the CPI(M) and the Congress ahead of the assembly elections.
The kind of support which has been seen in places like Mandwi and other places show that the situation has changed. There are almost 11 crore tribal people in the Country and it is only BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has given due respect to them. He also gave the example of " Draupadi Murmu" and added that there 8-9 Cabinet Minister who are from North East at present.
There are similar examples present in the state which includes Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and various others who have been given all the respect by the party. Dr. Manik Saha said that the party knows how to give respect to everyone hence a proposal has been sent to increase the number of seats in ADC which is 28 at present to 50 so that each of 19 tribe and sub tribes has a representative. He added that CPM and Congress has been involved with dirty politics which includes Murder and terror but the rally which took place today was absolutely different from all these.
He has urged everyone to work together in different levels like Booth and Mandal in strong way but all the work must be done in a peaceful manner.
He said that it is an opportunist understanding. Earlier, the love between the two parties (CPI(M) and Congress) was a secret affair and now it came to the fore. People are not taking it positively, Saha .
The CPI(M) and the Congress have not learnt a lesson from West Bengal where they had contested polls jointly against the Trinamool Congress but could not make any mark, he said and added that the people will reject the opportunist understanding before the election.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi , the tribal people of Northeast region have got their due respect along with all-round development.
Dr Saha also asked party workers to intensify campaigning in a disciplined manner from January 1 to ensure the party's victory in the assembly polls. He has urged everyone to work together in different levels like Booth and mandal in strong way but all the work must be done in a peaceful manner.
Later, speaking with media persons former CM Biplab Kumar Deb alleged that large-scale irregularities are being committed by siphoning the public money and the Janajati Morcha through the deputation before the Governor has demanded enquiry through a commission.
Meanwhile, a Janjati Morcha delegation led by its state president Bikash Debbarma submitted a memorandum to Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya demanding a probe into alleged financial irregularities in TTAADC.
