By-polls any time, party ready to contest polls, CM
The poll panel can declare the schedules for by-polls in two assembly constituencies of Tripura and the BJP is ready to fight the elections, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.
On Sunday evening during a felicitation programme organized at Nazrul Kalakshetra auditorium in Agartala to welcome senior BJP leader G R Rabindra Raju, who has been appointed as new organizational Secretary or ‘Pradesh Mahamantri’ (organizational) in-charge of Tripura replacing Phanindra Nath Sharma who has been given the charges for Haryana state, the state unit of BJP has also given farewell reception of Sharma.
While addressing the gathering Chief Minister said that in the ensuing by-elections for Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituencies, the win of BJP is ensured and party workers have also ensured the victory of Lotus in both seats.
He said that state leaders of BJP of have learned many organizations role and responsibilities from the outgoing organizational secretary Phanindra Nath Sharma, who has taken the charges in 2017 and moved across the state to strengthen the organization of the party and played a vital role to ensure the victory of BJP recently concluded assembly elections.
He hoped that newly appointed organizational secretary G R Rabindra Raju will also strengthen the party organization in Tripura and will keep the lotus blooming.
Dr Saha also said that any time, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the poll-schedules for by-elections of two assembly seats and party candidates will win both the seats with maximum margin. He also hoped that the BJP candidates for ensuing Lok Sabha elections for two seats of Tripura will secure their victory with more votes in comparison to vote shares of 2019.
He said that there is no scope for satisfaction, party workers have to ensure the victory as opposition parties are now united. Though opposition CPI(M) and Congress are now united, in the poll battle they will not get the support from common people of the state.
During the felicitation programme, apart from G R Rabindra Raju and Phanindra Nath Sharma, union minister of state, Smt Pratima Bhowmik, the state secretary of BJP Rajib Bhattacharjee and former deputy chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma along with ministers, MLAs and party leaders were also present.
