CM attends conference on dam safety, meeting of FORTI in Jaipur, Rajasthan
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha took part in the International Conference on Dam Safety (ICDS) -2023 at Jaipur in Rajasthan on Thursday. He also attended a meeting organized by the businessman and investors organized by the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industries.
The Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar inaugurated the conference on Dam Safety where the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat had also participated and the Chief Minister had also met him before the inauguration of the conference.
Dr Manik Saha in his social media platform said that ‘it was under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the Dam Safety Act 2021 was introduced for the first time. As a result, the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) was formed so that they can take care of the dams.’
The International Conference on Dam Safety will continue on Friday as well as it is a two-day conference. There are various discussions on Dam safety which will take place in the plenary session and technical session. The representatives from USA, Australia, Denmark, Vietnam and various other countries participated in the conference. There were representatives of the World bank, ministers of various states, top leaders of the Jal Shakti Ministry along with representatives from different parts of the country who were present in the conference.
A meeting was held under the management of 'Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI)' in Jaipur, Rajasthan on Thursday on investment related issues in Tripura. About 60-70 businessmen and investors from Rajasthan attended this meeting. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha participated as the chief guest. At the beginning of the meeting, the officials of investment companies of Rajasthan welcomed the Chief Minister in Northern attire.
Later, participating in a discussion titled 'FORTI News', the Chief Minister highlighted the industry-friendly environment created in Tripura during the present state government. The Chief Minister mentioned that Tripura has ample investment avenues in tourism, health, education, hotels, real estate, import-export, rubber, bamboo etc. Not only that, he also explained that progress has been made in some areas during the current state government. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha urged businessmen and investors from Rajasthan to invest in Tripura.
Attracted by Chief Minister Dr Manik Sahar's informative talk on the current government's efforts to advance industry and commerce, several businessmen from Rajasthan expressed their interest in investing in Tripura. They expressed enthusiasm about coming to Tripura very soon. Dr Saha also promised them all possible cooperation. The businessmen and investors of Rajasthan were greatly encouraged by the Chief Minister's words.
