CM inaugurates new Orchidarium at Oxygen Park, boost for tourism
Adding a new feather in the tourism sector of Tripura, a new Orchidarium was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha at Oxygen Park in Agartala on Saturday.
The new state of art Orchidarium has been inaugurated to preserve and protect the orchids of the state.
While inaugurating the new Orchidarium, the Chief Minister Dr Saha said that a person when visiting the Oxygen Park can realize the beauties of this park and its significance of the name.
Appreciating the efforts of the Forest department of the state, Dr Saha that the new Orchidarium will definitely add a new feather in the tourism sector of the state and will attract more tourists.
He said that in the new Orchidarium, altogether 50 types of orchid are available and among these 20 species are from Tripura and the park also different species of birds, trees and bamboos.
Dr Saha said that representatives of G-20 countries will visit the state for a science conference on clean energy for a greener future and the culture, arts and tradition of the state will be depicted before them to attract the foreign delegates to the tourism sector of the state.
He said that delegates will visit the Oxygen park along with their visit to different tourism spots of the state, which will definitely highlight the tourism spots of the state into the international arena.
The people of the state always maintain their tradition for hospitality and to maintain this century old tradition, the state government is now ready to welcome the delegates of G-20 summit.
During the inauguration programme, the Chief Minister has planted a sapling of ‘Nageshwar’ tree and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) K S Sethi, Chief Secretary J K Sinha and wife of Chief Minister Mrs Swapna Saha and other dignitaries were also present.
