CM lauds cleaning, sanitation staff’s role in maintaining cleanliness throughout year
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday said that the cleaning and sanitation staff play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness throughout the year.
“The role of sanitation workers is of utmost importance in keeping the city clean and aesthetically pleasing. They tirelessly work from morning till night. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasizes that no one should be neglected. All are citizens of this country with equal rights. The Prime Minister is dedicated to fostering unity among all citizens, and the state government is aligned with this vision. Our collective mindset is evolving. It is our duty to bring smiles to their faces during this time of Durga Puja," stated Dr Saha.
Dr Saha said this while participating in the distribution of clothes among the sanitation workers at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala.
The chief minister has been tirelessly working to bring joy to the economically disadvantaged sections of society in preparation for Durga Puja. Over the past few days, he has been distributing new clothes to those who are financially vulnerable in his assembly constituency.
"Durga Puja is an occasion for everyone to enjoy, not just a particular section of society. This small initiative has been implemented so that everyone can partake in the festivities of Puja. Each of us is a part of this society. Through the collective efforts of all, we can build a prosperous state and country,” said Dr Saha.
He further stressed that it is not sufficient to only keep our own houses clean; we must also ensure the cleanliness of our roads and surroundings to maintain the beauty of our state and city.
Dipak Majumdar, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation; Ratna Dutta, Chairperson of AMC Central Zone; Nabadal Banik, Chairman of TIDC; Nabendu Bhattacharya, BJP State Spokesperson; and other distinguished guests were present at the event.
