CM slams CPI (M) for suppressing history of princely rule Tripura
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday said that the enthusiasm among the karyakartas will undoubtedly pave the way to victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Dr Saha said this while addressing an organizational meeting organized in support of Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma, candidate for the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat, covering North Tripura and Unakoti districts on Sunday at Dharmanagar.
“This enthusiasm of the karyakartas will undoubtedly pave the way to victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party. To continue this flow of development, everyone is saying, 'Modi government wants again,'” said Dr Saha.
He said that due to PM Modi, the state has witnessed significant development.
“Opposition political parties have always said, 'Where is HIRA?' They must not have been aware of its definition. Due to the HIRA model, we have the 3rd strongest Internet connection, railways have improved a lot, and more highways are coming. Our government, which is a double-engine government, is always committed to overall development,” said Dr Saha.
He also slammed the CPIM for suppressing the history of princely rule in Tripura.
“The Manikya dynasty has worked a lot for the development of Tripura, but CPIM never gave them due respect and didn’t want anyone to know about them. But after BJP came, we have given due respect to the Manikya dynasty. Our government knows how to give respect. CPIM worked to suppress the history of the princely rule of Tripura. The CPIM has never worked for development; if they did, it would be helpful for everyone. Due to PM Modi, the face of Tripura is changing gradually,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr Saha further said that a section of people have suggested using scientific rigging for victory in the election, which was introduced by CPIM, or else BJP will lose the election. But in the end, BJP formed the government again. They said they would form the government, but they lost somewhere.
