CM visits juvenile, old-age homes to celebrate birthday of PM
On the occasion of the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday paid visit to the Mahatma Gandhi Senior Citizen Home located at Narsinghgarh and Destitute Children Home, Physically Challenged person’s Home, Juvenile home and interacted with them to enquire their problems and also acquainted about the life style of the residential.
During his visit to these homes after distributing sweets among the inmates, Dr Saha stated that the principal aim of the government is to remain in touch with en-masses. ‘Today is a holy day because today is the birthday of our beloved Prime Minister and by his able leadership, India is able to achieve a special respect to the World,’ said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister in a tweet message said “Today, the birthday of the world's most popular leader & Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji is being celebrated across the country. With the vision of the Hon'ble PM for Seva, visited Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Old Age Home, Juvenile Home & Institute for the visually handicapped boys & girls at Narsingarh and distributed sweets among the elders and children on this special occasion.”
“The central and state governments are tirelessly working for the development of the marginalized people. Our country is marching forward from infrastructural development to health, education, and sports etc,” said CM. The Central Government during the last 9 years has taken many strong and historical decisions which placed India as a most important country of the world. In respect of launching the PM-Viswakarma scheme Dr Saha further stated that the scheme has been implanted by today with a aim for the development of traditional industrial workers and ancient artistic industrial workers of rural and urban areas for their financial improvement extensively.
During his visit to the several homes of Agartala and Narsinghgarh, Tapash Roy, secretary of Social Welfare and Social Education along with other officials were also present.
