CM visits storm-affected areas in Sepahijala District, assures full support
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Monday visited Lembutali village under the Kamalasagar assembly constituency in Sepahijala District, which was badly affected by the cyclone.
During the visit Dr Saha has also assured to extend all kinds of support to the victims.
On Monday, he visited the affected area along with local administration officials. After inspecting the storm-affected areas, Dr Saha also spoke with affected family members, assuring them of support.
It is noteworthy that in the early hours of Sunday, a massive cyclone hit the state, causing damage to many houses across the state.
Despite a busy schedule due to the Lok Sabha elections, Dr Saha decided to visit the affected areas.
“There have been reports of damage in various parts of the state due to the cyclone. What I have seen on the news is just the tip of the iceberg. Not only here, but also in other parts of the state, many families have been affected. Many people have lost their houses. I have discussed with administrative officials and instructed them to utilize the Disaster Management fund to assist the victims. They have been directed to visit the affected areas and provide necessary assistance”, said Dr Saha urging everyone to stand by the affected families in this time of danger.
Along with the Chief Minister, MLA Antara Sarkar Dev and other leaders, along with officials, were also present.
