CPI (M) exploited Janajati as vote bank, CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Monday slammed the CPI(M) for using janajati as a vote bank and said that the main agenda of the INDI alliance is to confuse the people.
Addressing a massive election campaign at Ramchandra Ghat in Khowai District in support of BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, Dr. Saha said, “I am confident that voters of the East Lok Sabha seat will cast their votes for Kriti Singh Debbarma to secure victory. In the entire country, the voter turnout was highest in the Tripura West Lok Sabha seat. Many people ask me what the challenge is. This time, the challenge is to increase the voting percentage.”
He mentioned that PM Modi always gives guarantees and emphasizes the development of janajati.
“We have seen the rule of the CPI(M) and Congress. We have witnessed their 35 years of governance and their use of janajati as a vote bank. But when BJP came, the real development of janajati people started. PM Modi is working for the development of Janajati people in our state. The CPI(M) and Congress have now come into alliance. We have seen how they resorted to violence during elections. In 2018, due to PM Modi, we were freed from misrule. The INDI alliance is now talking about democracy. Many people were jailed during the emergency, many were murdered, and violence during elections was rampant. Where was democracy at that time?” said Dr. Saha.
He also highlighted that the condition of the Northeast before 2014 was pathetic, but now, after Narendra Modi came to power, peace has returned to the region.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is consistently working for the overall development of the country. The nation is growing stronger under his capable leadership. On the contrary, people are being misled by the INDI alliance. The CPI(M) promised golden days, but instead, they burdened us with Rs 13,000 crore in debt, while the Prime Minister introduced the HIRA model and Act East Policy. The main agenda of the INDI alliance is to confuse people,” he added.
During the program, former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, MLA Ranjit Debbarma, BJP secretary Devid Debbarma, Youth leader Nabadal Banik, and others were present.
