Election campaign gain momentum: JP Nadda arriving on 3rd, Mamata on 6th, Adityanath on 7th, many national leaders coming Tripura
Just two weeks before the assembly elections, Tripura to witness a high voltage campaign through hectic schedules of top national leaders will be arriving in the state to address a number of public rallies in support of their respective party candidates.
Sources said that BJP’s national president J P Nadda is arriving in the state to address number of election rallies “Vijay Sankalpa Janasabha” on Friday to be followed by many other leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress stalwarts Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, TMC’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee and many others.
After arriving in the state, on Friday J P Nadda will address an election rally at 42-Amarpur constituency and 50-Pabiacherra assembly constituency in North Tripura district. Former Chief Minister Biplab Deb along with BJP state election in-charge Mahendra Singh visited the meeting places on Wednesday and supervised the preparations. Biplab Deb also had meetings with the party workers and instructed them to make the meetings successful.
A BJP spokesperson said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many others are in the list of the party’s star campaigners and the party is preparing a detailed program to run the campaign in a systematic way. Along with top national leaders, many leaders from Northeastern state will arrive in the state as start campaigners. On Friday also, veteran BJP leader from West Bengal and MP Dilip Ghosh will also arrive in the state and will hold election rallies in Bishalgarh and Santirbazar assembly constituencies.
On Friday evening, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed two election rallies at 9-Banamalipur assembly constituency and at noon on Friday noon at Krishnapur constituency. Senior BJP leader Samir Oraon will also address two election rallies at Karamcherra and Surma assembly constituencies. The leader of opposition in West Bengal, Suvendhu Adhikari, MP Shantanu Thakur will also address election rallies in Teliamura, Badharghat and Kakrabon-Shalgara assembly constituencies. BJP MP Locket Chatterjee will address election rallies at Charilam and Boxanagar constituencies. Union Minister Smriti Irani, will address election rallies in the Town Bardowali and Nalchar assembly constituencies and famous film star Mithun Chakraborty will address three election rallies at Khayerpur, Bamutia and Mandai Bazar constituencies.
Sources in the BJP said that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Jogi Adityanath is arriving in the state capital for a two days campaign on February 7 and 8. A visit of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah is tentatively scheduled for February 9. Trinamool Congress Supremo and Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee will be arriving here on February 6 and participate in a foot march in the city. Many other party leaders also will participate in the campaign. Congress sources said a large number of party leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will be arriving for the campaign. A detailed program is being prepared for the campaign.
