Five Bihar youths arrested from Churaibari with dry Ganja
Five youths from Bihar state were arrested at Churaibari Naka point with dry Cannabis (Ganja) hidden on their bodies on the way to Dharmanagar to Karimganj of Assam on Monday.
Giving details, OC of Churaibari police station, Samaresh Das said that based on secret information, the police personnel posted at the Naka point of Churaibari gate detained two suspected youths, who were boarded in a bus to reach Karimganj in Assam from Dharmanagar.
Das said that in the course of the search operation, police recovered 12 kilograms of dry Ganja hidden in their bodies and arrested both youths, who were identified as Subhash Kumar and Raghav from Bihar state.
Based on their interrogation statement, police stopped another bus moving towards Dharmanagar to Karimganj and detained three more suspected youths from the bus. Police have also recovered 7 kgs more Ganjan from the bodies of three youths, who are also residents of Bihar state and were identified as Gulu Kumar, Shiv Kumar and Jiten Kumar.
OC Samaresh Das added that all five Bihar youths were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and police started investigation to track the network.
