‘Ghar Ghar BJP’ campaign launched across 60 assembly constituencies
Agartala: The ruling BJP has started to spread messages of good governance provided by the state government and will also spread awareness about its efforts towards a drug-free state through the weeklong “Ghar Ghar BJP” campaign, which started on Sunday across all 60 assembly constituencies of Tripura.
The party on Sunday launched the program with large participation of its leaders, workers and supporters to strengthen their assembly election campaigns, which is scheduled to be held in February, 2023 next.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee and all other state level leaders participated in the programmes started after the hearing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Maan Ki Baat.
While, party spokesman Nabendu Bhattacharjee addressing a press conference here at BJP’s state headquarters in the evening said that the programme was a grand success as over 2.5 lakh party karyakarta attended in the campaign. He said it was a programme only for Karyakarta and the participation was almost total. Today’s program was observed in the Mandal level and from Monday it will be observed in booth level. The party karyakartas will distribute a report card about the performance of the government.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the campaign at his home constituency Town Bardowali in Agartala by attending the ‘Maan Ki Baat’ programme in the ground of the Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan with the Karyakartas. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said BJP will talk about the good governance provided by the state government and will also spread awareness about its efforts towards a drug-free state.
"Under the leadership of Chief Minister Manik Saha, all-around improvement has taken place in respect to law and order, road construction, connectivity, and employment. The government has also ensured peace. The conviction rate is higher than during the reign of the Left government," BJP Tripura Pradesh said in a press statement. The campaign will continue till December 3, and will touch all the karyakartas, voters and people of the targeted areas.
All the ministers, MPs, and MLAs will visit each and every constituency and prepare report cards against each constituency. It will make people aware of the developmental work done by BJP in the state, so they can decide whether the government has really worked or not, said leaders of BJP and further claimed that its government will be re-established in the state capturing all 60 seats in the 2023 assembly elections.
Dr Saha said that the people of the state responded to all previous programmes launched by the party and this time also it will not be any different. He urges all the karyakartas to take the message of the development projects implemented by the centre and the state governments. He also participated in a procession where the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder and other senior leaders also participated, which passes various thoroughfares of Agartala city.
Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has also participated in the campaign at Matabari in Udaipur subdivision and strongly criticised the policies of the previous Left Front governments and said their only aim is to keep people poor and forcing them to serve the interest of their party. Local MLA Biplab Ghosh and other senior leaders also participated in the procession.
