J P Nadda to address rally in Tripura to celebrate 9th years of Modi govt
Tripura Chief Minister DR Manik Saha on Sunday reviewed the preparations of the visit of the BJP national president J P Nadda on June 16 next to address a rally at Santir Bazar area of South Tripura district to celebrate the 9th year if the Narendra Modi led union government.
The party leaders said that Nadda would arrive in the state capital on June 16 and to hold a meeting with party functionaries at night to discuss plans to strengthen the organization.
The visit aims to mobilize party workers and kick off the BJP’s campaign for the next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
The party insiders said the rally will focus on two main issues-the celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine years in office and to boost the party rank and file for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting resolved to make the rally a historic one, especially with the presence of indigenous people at a time when the BJP is facing challenge from the main opposition party Tipra-Motha in the hills.
“Nadda Ji is coming to the state to address a mammoth public meeting on June 17 on the occasion of 9th anniversary of the Central government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. I participated in a preparatory meeting called on Monday at the Pradesh office to make the arrival of the Nadda a success,” said Dr Saha before leaving for Delhi to take part in the meetings of CMs and BJP state presidents on Tuesday.
J P Nadda’s visit to the state is significant due to the factional feud among the party leadership in the state; allegedly, a group of MLAs and leaders aligned to former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb and Union Minister of the state, Pratima Bhowmik have been working against the Chief Minister.
