The visit aims to mobilize party workers and kick off the BJP’s campaign for the next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
The party insiders said the rally will focus on two main issues-the celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine years in office and to boost the party rank and file for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting resolved to make the rally a historic one, especially with the presence of indigenous people at a time when the BJP is facing challenge from the main opposition party Tipra-Motha in the hills.
Sources from Santir Bazar said JP Nadda will address a meeting at the local school ground at 11 AM and all preparations are completed. BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee himself visited the ground on Thursday and gave necessary instructions.
As per the month-long campaign program undertaken by the party, a similar meeting will be organised in Khowai for which date is yet to be finalized.
