The leadership of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) on Monday submitted a deputation with the IG (Law and Order) at the Police Headquarters, demanding the immediate arrest of those allegedly involved in the murder of Kisan Sabha member Jalil Rahman at Ghilatali area of Teliamura and exemplary punishment for the culprits.
During their deputation to IG(Law and Order) Ipper Manchak, the delegation detailed the circumstances surrounding the murder and urged the police to conduct a swift, impartial and thorough investigation into the incident.
The Kisan Sabha leadership alleged that immediate legal action should be taken against all those directly or indirectly involved in Jalil Rahman’s killing. They also urged the police to ensure that the actual perpetrators do not escape justice through any loopholes in the legal process.
Kisan Sabha state secretary Ratan Das said the alleged killers involved in Jalil Rahman’s murder must be arrested immediately and brought to justice through exemplary punishment. He also called for an impartial investigation to uncover the truth behind the incident and ensure strict legal action against every person found to be involved.
The organization further stated that effective steps must be taken by the administration and police to ensure justice for Jalil Rahman’s family and prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
The Kisan Sabha leadership urged the authorities to complete the investigation at the earliest and bring all the accused within the ambit of the law.
