‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ bridges gap between govt and people: CM

Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday said that ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ is effectively bridging the gap between the government and the people, addressing their grievances.

Dr. Saha made these remarks during the 32nd edition of Mukhyamantri Samipeshu, where he listened to various issues, including appeals for medical support.

In the 32nd edition of this public-interaction programme held at the Chief Minister's official residence, people from across the state directly discussed a range of issues, including appeals for medical support and local issues, with the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister gave a patience hearing and assured everyone that immediate steps would be taken to address the problems and grievances.

When Biki Rishi Das of East Pratapgarh requested assistance for cancer treatment, Dr Saha, who is also the Health Minister, immediately directed the hospital superintendent to arrange the necessary treatment at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital in Agartala.

Bhajan Sarkar of Lankamura sought the Chief Minister's help for his son's heart disease treatment, and Dr Saha assured him of medical assistance.

Some residents of Reshambagan demanded maintenance of the lake in their area, referring to the extensive damage to Manikya Sagar. The Chief Minister instructed the Urban Development Secretary Kiran Gitte to send an administrative team to inspect the area immediately.

Pritam Das of West Bhubanban and others highlighted the poor condition of roads in their area. Khokan Biswas of Madhya Pratapgarh, Ujjwala Biswas of Bishalgarh, and Niranjan Debnath of Jogendra Nagar also appealed to the Chief Minister for help with various ailments. Dr. Saha spoke to the Superintendent of GB Hospital and ordered necessary measures for their treatment.

Chief Minister’s secretary PK Chakraborty, Health and Urban Development Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Secretary L. Darlong, Social Education and Social Welfare Department Director Tapan Das, GB Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, and Superintendent of the Cancer Hospital S. Debbarma were also present at the programme.
