Mukhyamantri Samipeshu: CM directs officials for treatment of 8-year-old boy suffering from Thalassemia
People from different parts of the state have assembled on Thursday to attend ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’, a weekly interaction programme and speak directly about their miseries to the Chief Minister. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha in his residence had patiently listened to their woes and took instant steps to solve them. A Labour by profession and resident of Ambedkar Palli area in Srinagar, Agartala Prantosh Hrishi Das along with his 8-years-old son Rajdeep (Thalassemia patient) came to meet the Chief Minister asking assistance for treatment. After learning about the matter, the Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to take necessary initiative.
Lakhi Barman Datta, a resident of Madhyapara, Bardowali, Agartala also visited the Chief Minister regarding assistance for treatment of her husband and education of her son. After which the Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to do the needful.
Swapna Gope Ghosh from West Pratapgarh also joined Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme today. Her husband used to be a homeguard until he died in 2021. Having left with no other option, she went to meet the Chief Minister to ask for some assistance. Resident of Joynagar, Kamna Das also went to meet the Chief Minister regarding treatment of her sick husband and son. Labour by profession and resident of Jolaibari Kartik Das went to meet the Chief Minister regarding treatment of his 13-year-old son, Ankur Das who is presently suffering from heart related disease. Resident of East Pratapgarh Maran Debnath along with his 3-year old son, Tushar Debnath also attended Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme. His son has been suffering from kidney related problems since the past 2 years. On the other hand, Arun Kumar Reang from Kanchanpur also met the Chief Minister regarding his mother Janki Reang’s cancer treatment.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to take necessary initiatives for all of them. The public expressed their gratitude for being able to share their woes with the Chief Minister and get instant response. Secretary of Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Health department Dr. Debashish Basu, Secretary of Social Welfare & Social Education department Tapas Roy, Secretary of Home department Saradindu Choudhury and OSD od Directorate of Health Services Dr. Dibyendu Bikash Das were also present during the programme.
