TBSE declare both Madhyamik, HS results, pass percentage from Madhyamik is 86.02 %, for HS 83.24 %
Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) runs Madhyamik and Higher Secondary (HS+2), Madrassa Fazil Arts and Theology examination results has been declared on Monday noon by registering pass percentage of 86.02 % for Madhyamik and 83.24 % for Higher Secondary.
Addressing a press here at the board office on Monday noon, TBSE’s president Dr Bhabotosh Saha accompanied by secretary Dr Dulal Dey and other authorities said that this is the second year of examinations after introduction of NCERT syllabus in 2019-2020 in the state’s school.
Giving details of the abstract of the both examinations, Dr Saha said that this year board examinations for HS and Madrassa Fazil started on March 15 and ended on April 19. Similarly, the Madhyamik exams started on March 16 and ended on April 18, 2023.
Altogether, 38, 129 candidates appeared in the Madhyamik examinations from 1083 schools with 13.14 less percentage in comparison to candidates appeared in 2022, said Dr Saha and added that a total of 33,453 candidates appeared in the HS examinations and 15.63 percentage has been increased.
He said that the board has started its evaluation of answer scripts from May 2nd and for the evaluation process of Madhyamik answer scripts, altogether 4 venues were set up in Agartala and two more venues for H S were also up in Agartala. Dr Saha said that altogether 2,652 teachers were given assignments for evaluation works and within 48 days, the board had successfully completed the evaluation process and published the results on June 5th.
Among the total appeared candidates (38,129) in the Madhyamik examinations, altogether 32,797 candidates secured pass marks, which recorded the pass percentage of 86.02 % and in the HS examination, out of total appeared candidates 33,453, altogether 27,847 candidates secured pass marks and recorded pass percentage of 83.24%
In both Madhyamik and HS (+2) examinations there were more girl candidates than boy candidates with female and male ratio of 1125:1000 for Madhyamik and 1145:1000 for Higher Secondary, said Dr Saha.
A total of 11,238 students from Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas have enrolled for Madhyamik examinations and among them 9,582 candidates secured pass marks with pass percentage of 84.9 %. For Higher Secondary examinations, 7,872 candidates enrolled from ADC areas under three streams and altogether 6,083 candidates secured pass marks with pass percentage of 77.27 %.
This year 254 schools across eight districts got cent percent pass marks in Madhyamik and 19 more schools in Higher Secondary examinations. Among all eight districts, Gomati district secured the highest pass percentage with 92.30 % and lowest pass percentage recorded by students of North Tripura district with pass percentage of 77.80 % in Madhyamik examinations.
Like previous years, this year also the students of Sepahijala Tripura district secured the highest pass percentage of 88.60 % in HS examinations and lowest pass percentage of 69.96 % obtained by the students of Dhalai district.
Dr Saha said that a total of 50 physically challenged including 13 blind-category students appeared in the Madhyamik and 20 more such special candidates appeared for HS including 6 blind category students.
But, most concern thing is that a total of 85.96 % of appeared students did not get success in the basic mathematic subject and students of HS , who had written their examination paper on sociology, agriculture dairy health workers, Arabi, computer science, Hindi, Islamic history, Islamic studies, Music and Theology have secured 100% pass marks and lowest pass percentage subject wise recorded from ‘’agriculture-gardener’ subject(83.50 %) in HS exams.
All appeared students have accessed their board results through different websites after 30 minutes of official press meet of board results. Dr Saha said that the board will start the distribution of mark sheets in all schools within the next few days.
