Three notorious drug peddlers arrested from Agartala city with Yaba, Brown Sugar
The Agartala police in its anti-drug operations across the city has managed to arrest three infamous drug peddlers, who were continuously selling different synthetic drugs in the busiest Battala market area to youths.
Giving details, OC of West Agartala police station, Paritosh Das said that police personnel from Battala Town Outpost are continuously tracking the activities of some drug peddlers, who were selling drugs to youths from different parts of the city. On Saturday evening, a team of police personnel led by OC of Battala TOP managed to catch three drug peddlers red-handed and recovered good quantities of Yaba tablets and Brown Sugar under their possessions.
He said that three arrested drug peddlers identified as Suman Ghosh, Sahadeb Debnath and Ankit Deb, are residents of different parts of the city who were known drug paddlers and running a network to sell their drugs to youths.
Police has also seized one mobile set and a motorbike under their possessions and on Sunday forwarded them before a local court with police remand appeals under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985 for interrogation.
