Tripura assembly Speaker suffered severe brain haemorrhage, to be operated tonight

The Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Bishwabandhu Sen, suddenly fell ill on Friday evening when he tried to board a Dharmanagar bound train from Agartala railway station.
Sources said that before boarding in a local train from Agartala Railway station, Speaker went to a washroom and he suddenly fell unconscious in the washroom. He was immediately shifted to Tripura Medical College (TMC), Hapania where medical examination revealed an internal brain haemorrhage and doctors have advised immediate surgery.
Soon after the incident, reported Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jitendra Chaudhury immediately rushed to the hospital.
In presence of the Chief Minister and opposition leader, doctors shifted him to a private hospital in the new capital complex area of the city at TMC Medical College Hospital, though there is a possibility of shifting him to a private hospital.
Sources said that a team of doctors led by Deb Dutta will operate to Sen on emergency purpose on Friday night to clear haemorrhage from his brain.
While, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha through his social media post stated that “Hon’ble Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Shri Biswa Bandhu Sen, was scheduled to travel to Dharmanagar by train. While at Agartala Railway Station, he suddenly fell unconscious in the washroom. He was immediately shifted to Tripura Medical College, where medical examination revealed an internal brain haemorrhage. Doctors have advised immediate surgery. May God bless him with strength, and I pray for his speedy and complete recovery.”
