Tripura CM highlights key initiatives in Chief Minister meetings
A crucial meeting of Chief Ministers was convened in New Delhi to discuss the progress and implementation of several government schemes.
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha presented detailed updates on various key initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic development of the state.
Dr Saha emphasized the significant strides made under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) highlighting that thousands of urban and rural households in Tripura have been provided with affordable housing.
In meeting Dr Saha discussed about the Jal Jeevan Mission has been another focus area, ensuring that every rural household in Tripura has access to safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections.
He said that under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Tripura has made remarkable progress in providing health coverage to the economically disadvantaged, ensuring access to quality healthcare services.
Dr Saha also said that Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has seen substantial developments, with numerous rural roads being constructed and upgraded, thereby enhancing connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation of goods and people in rural areas.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has provided crucial financial support to farmers, bolstering agricultural productivity and economic stability. The Kisan Credit Card (Agri), along with extensions to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, has empowered farmers with accessible credit, promoting diversified and sustainable farming practices.
He also said that the implementation of the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana has provided life insurance coverage to many citizens, ensuring financial security for their families.
He also provided details regarding Swamitva scheme, Bharat Net, Soil Health Card, Atal Pension Yojana and SvaNidhi schemes.
