Voluntary blood donation camp organised by NLU, Tripura

The Centre for Public Health Law & Policy, in collaboration with the Public Relations & Media Committee and under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, organised a voluntary blood donation camp on 16th September 2025 at the NLU Tripura campus.
The event was conducted with the support of the Medical Team from the Tripura Blood Transfusion Council and Narsingarh PHC. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the University community, including the administration, faculty, staff, and especially the students, who came forward to contribute towards this noble cause.
A total of 35 units of blood were collected, with over 80 individuals registering as donors, an impressive achievement for a young institution still in its formative years. The Medical Team expressed sincere gratitude, highlighting the frequent scarcity of blood in hospitals and appreciating NLU Tripura for its commendable initiative in motivating donors and setting an example for society.
The University extended full support to the Medical Team for the smooth conduct of the camp. The Vice-Chancellor conveyed his appreciation to all donors and medical professionals for their efforts in making the event a success. He further affirmed the University’s commitment to continue organising such socially meaningful initiatives and to encourage student participation in service to society. The event was coordinated by Ms. Merelin Darlong, Assistant Professor of English & Faculty Advisor, Public Relations & Media Committee, NLU Tripura along with the student committee.
