Speakers at the event accused Pakistan of long-standing human rights violations in Balochistan and reiterated their demand for what they described as a free and independent Balochistan.

Among those who addressed the gathering were BNM Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch, World Sindhi Congress General Secretary Dr. Lakhu Luhana, Dr. Naseer Dashti, PTM Germany Coordinator Qadir Shah Ansari, BNM Germany President Shar Hassan Baloch, BNM Germany Vice President Safia Baloch, and Tamil activist Nivethan Nanthakumar. The event was moderated by Shali Baloch and Nadeem Saleem.

In his keynote address, Dr. Naseem Baloch alleged that Pakistan has attempted to suppress Baloch political expression through military force. He said that state pressure had, instead, strengthened the community’s resolve.

He referred to March 27, 1948, which BNM views as the date of Pakistan’s forcible annexation of Balochistan — a claim Pakistan rejects. He said the region continues to face a heavy security presence, enforced disappearances, and reports of extrajudicial killings — allegations that human rights groups have also raised.

Dr. Baloch said earlier resistance movements in Balochistan were driven by sentiment rather than political organization, but claimed BNM had restructured the struggle into a coordinated political platform.

“This is not merely a fight of arms,” he said, “but a struggle of belief and identity.”
