Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he vetoed a bill that would have banned social media for children under the age of 16.
"I have vetoed HB 1 because the Legislature is about to produce a different, superior bill," DeSantis said in a statement on Friday regarding the Online Protections for Minors bill.
