Germany: Berlin to soon allow women to swim topless in public pools
Berlin: The German city of Berlin will soon allow women to swim topless in public pools, media reports said.
The decision was taken by authorities recently after a woman, who was reportedly thrown out of an open-air pool for sunbathing topless, took legal action.
A second woman said she was told to cover up while at an indoor pool in December, reports BBC.
Following the two incidents, authorities agreed that they were victims of discrimination and said all visitors to Berlin's pools were now entitled to go topless.
The decision will be welcomed by those here who champion what's known as Freikörperkultur - free body culture, reported BBC.
