Israel Defense Forces releases video clips showing Hamas members torturing civilians in Gaza
Israel Defense Forces has released video footage showing alleged Hamas members torturing civilians in Gaza, media reports said.
In the shocking video, Hamas members could be seen hanging civilians from the ceiling, putting their heads in sacks and even beating them up.
"The same civilians that Hamas outspokenly claimed to be fighting for, are the same civilians being tortured in this video," IDF wrote on X sharing the video.
"Hamas is not only Israel’s enemy—they’re Gaza’s enemy also," the force said.
As per Britain's Daily Mail, the video footage was discovered on computers seized from the abandoned compound inside the Jabalia refugee camp.
It is still not clear why the people in the video footage were held by Hamas.
A senior Israeli military source told The Mail on Sunday: "The IDF found these CCTV images in March. It took months to go through them all."
According to reports, IDF had handed over the video clips to Daily Mail before publishing it on their X page.
The video was released by IDF at a time when Israel was engaged in a war with Hamas for more than a year.
Hamas members attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.
