Today marks the 11th day of the sit-in protest by Baloch families in Islamabad, and the Pakistani state continues its systematic repression. Roads leading to the Press Club remain sealed off with buses, blockades and barbed wire. No… pic.twitter.com/E49ioxlnoM
BYC, a Baloch advocacy group active since 2018, has been campaigning against enforced disappearances for several years now.
Group's leader Dr Mahrang Baloch was among the several activists who were arrested on Mar 22 for attacking Quetta Civil Hospital and even inciting violence.
She was arrested a day after the police cracked down on their demonstration.
The ongoing sit-in protest began on July 16.
