Chandrayaan-3: ISRO attempts to establish contact with lander, rover to ascertain their wake-up condition
Chennai/IBNS/UNI: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday evening announced that it was trying to establish contact with the Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover to ascertain their wake-up condition launched as part of the third lunar mission-Chandrayaan-3.
Both the lander and the rover were put into sleep mode and ISRO is awaiting their awakening while it is making efforts to establish contact with them.
The space agency said efforts were made to establish communication with the lander and the rover and no signals have been received from them till now.
"Efforts have been made to establish communication with the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover to ascertain their wake-up condition. As of now, no signals have been received from them. Efforts to establish contact will continue," ISRO said in a tweet.
