University officials announced that all academic programs have been meticulously revamped to adhere to the UGC credit framework, setting a new standard in open education, reports EastMojo.

Ranoj Pegu, the State Education Minister, conducted a high-level meeting to assess the university's courses and admissions procedures.

Pegu emphasized that the institution's enrollment has surpassed the impressive mark of 1 lakh students, with an additional 14,000 students already admitted this year.

"Our open university's degrees and diplomas are on par with those of traditional institutions offering regular courses," Pegu affirmed, highlighting the government's acknowledgment of the institution's stature in recruitment processes.

Pegu further encouraged aspiring students who may not have secured admission to conventional undergraduate programs to consider applying to the state open university for their academic pursuits.

With a network of 276 study centers and a prominent regional center situated in Jorhat, KKHSOU is presently offering a diverse range of 44 academic programs, reflecting its commitment to providing quality education through innovative approaches.
