After Putin, Narendra Modi interacts with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy when both leaders vow to strengthen partnership
Indian PM Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy when they discussed ways to further strengthen India-Ukraine partnership in various spheres.

"While discussing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, PM reiterated India’s people-centric approach and called for dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward," read a statement issued by the Indian Prime Minister's Office.
He highlighted that India supports all efforts for an early and peaceful resolution of all issues between the Parties.
He added that India would continue to do everything within its means to support a peaceful solution.
President Zelenskyy appreciated India’s continued humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine.
Modi's interaction with Putin
Earlier in the day, Narendra Modi dialled Russian President Vladimir Putin to congratulate him on winning the recent election that ensured his return to power for another term.
During his conversation, Modi reiterated India’s consistent position in favour of dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward in resolving the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
"PM congratulated him on his re-election as the President of the Russian Federation and conveyed his best wishes for peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Russia," read an official statement issued by the Indian Prime Minister's Office.
The two leaders agreed to make concerted efforts towards further strengthening the 'Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership' between the two countries in the upcoming years.
"They also reviewed progress in various issues of bilateral cooperation, and exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest," read the statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.
After his telephonic conversation, Modi also posted on X: "Spoke with President Putin and congratulated him on his re-election as the President of the Russian Federation. We agreed to work together to further deepen and expand India-Russia Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership in the years ahead."
According to reports, Putin returned to power as the President of the country for another term by securing nearly 88 per cent of the votes.
