Big blow to terror in Jammu and Kashmir: Top JeM commander Saifullah Baloch killed in Kishtwar encounter
At least three terrorists were killed during a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Sunday, White Knight Corps said.
A top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Saifullah Baloch, was trapped during the operation and killed in the ensuing gunfight, India Today reported.
Saifulla Baloch was one of the most wanted terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. He carried a bounty of Rs 5 lakh.
The White Knight Corps posted on X: "In continued operations under #OpTrashi-I in Kishtwar, troops of CIF (D) #WhiteKnightCorps, in coordination with @JmuKmrPolice and #CRPF, have ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ."
The White Corps said the joint operation was launched in the Kishtwar region under Operation Trashi-I to track and neutralise terrorists operating in the area.
" Displaying tactical precision, seamless synergy and resolute aggression, troops dominated the encounter site wherein ๐๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐๐ณ๐๐น๐น๐ ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ. ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฟ-๐น๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ including 02 x AK-47 rifles have also been recovered," reads the X post.
