CBI interrogates former Bihar CM Rabri Devi in 'land-for-job' scam
Patna: The CBI sleuths interrogated former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, wife of RJD chief and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav at her official residence on Monday in connection with 'land-for-job' scam in Railways during the tenure of Lalu Yadav.
Official sources said here that the CBI sleuths reached 10 circular residences of Rabri Devi and interrogated her for over four hours.
The sources said that the CBI had served a notice to Rabri Devi for her interrogation which was to be held at the office of CBI but later at the request of Rabri Devi the interrogation was conducted at her residence.
Meanwhile, the RJD workers staged a Dharna outside the house of Rabri Devi and shouted slogans against the central government and CBI.
After the interrogation was over, Rabri Devi along with her youngest son Tejasvi Prasad Yadav, the Deputy Chief Minister left her residence to attend the ongoing session of the Bihar Legislative Council.
Replying to the queries of media persons Rabri Devi said that such things go on.
However, Tejasvi Yadav alleged that all these things were happening since the formation of the grand alliance Government in Bihar.
He said that the matter was shut down on several occasions by the CBI and the railway did not consider it a scam. He alleged that the centre was doing it all to harass them.
Rabri Devi, her son Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and daughter Misa Bharti had earlier received a summons to appear before CBI special court in New Delhi.
As it is, a case relating to land for job scam was registered earlier which occurred during the regime of the UPA government at the Centre when RJD chief Lalu Prasad was there. Raids were also conducted at locations of Lalu Prasad earlier in connection with the scam.
