'Enough is enough': Ex-UK Faith Advisor calls for pro-Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh's arrest over 'Air India' threat
Former advisor to UK government Colin Bloom Sunday called on the British, American and Canadian authorities to work together to arrest pro-Khalistan extremist Gurpatwant Singh after a video shows him issuing a threat to commuters planning to fly via Air India on Nov 19, warning that their "lives would be in danger".
"I am calling for British, American and Canadian authorities to work together to have this pro Khalistani extremist in handcuffs as soon as possible. Enough is enough," Bloom wrote on his X page.
"Whilst the majority mainstream #Sikh population get on with adding huge value to society, here is one of the Khalistani thugs Gurpatwant Singh Pannun - making more vile threats against #AirIndia and the ongoing #ICCcricket world cup. It is worth remembering, until 9/11 the worst aviation act of terror was the Khalistani bombing of an Air India flight off the coast of Ireland in 1985 killing 329 innocent people," he said.

In a fresh video that emerged on social media, Pannun is seen giving a threat to commuters planning to fly via Air India on November 19, warning that their "lives would be in danger".
"We are asking the Sikh people not to fly via Air India on November 19. There will be a global blockade. On November 19, don't travel by Air India or your life will be in danger," Pannun said in the video that surfaced on social media, said the report.
The Khalistani terrorist further claimed that Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport would stop operations on November 19 and the name of the airport would be changed, adding that this was the day on which the final match of the ongoing cricket World Cup would be played, according to the report.
On October 10, Pannun, the leader of the proscribed Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) organisation based in the US, threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take heed of the Israel-Palestine conflict, warning of a similar "response" occurring in India.
"People under illegal occupation from Punjab to Palestine will react. And violence begets violence," he had said in a previous video message.
Pannun, originally from Amritsar, has been under the scrutiny of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) since 2019, when the agency initiated its first case against him.
He is alleged to have played a central role in promoting and orchestrating acts of terrorism, as well as instilling fear and panic in Punjab and various other regions of India through his use of threats and intimidation tactics.
A special NIA court on February 3, 2021, issued non-bailable arrest warrants to nab Pannun and he was declared a "Proclaimed Offender" (PO) on November 29 last year.
