Flight operation disrupted as a portion of Delhi airport's T1 roof collapses, one dies
A portion of the roof at Terminal 1 of the Delhi airport collapsed on Friday which left at least one person dead and five others injured.
The collapse happened amid heavy rainfall in the area.
All departures from the airport's T1 have been temporarily suspended.

Sixteen departure flights and twelve arrival flights have been cancelled since midnight, officials told India Today.
Check-in counters in the terminal have been suspended in the terminal as a precautionary measure.

All departing and arriving flights from Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 are fully operational. Flights at Terminal 1 Arrivals are also operating. However, the departing flights from Terminal 1 are cancelled till 2 pm today.

The roof at Delhi Airport’s has T1 collapsed this morning and, until now, 3 people are reported dead.
For election campaigning, Modi had hurriedly “inaugurated” T1 in March even while it was under construction.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan said he is personally monitoring the situation.
" Personally monitoring the roof collapse incident at T1 Delhi Airport. First responders are working at site. Also advised the airlines to assist all affected passengers at T1. The injured have been evacuated to hospital. Rescue operations are still ongoing," the minister said.
Delhi experienced heavy rainfall for the second consecutive day.
Several parts of the national capital was water-logged amid heavy rainfall.
