Global leaders greet India on Independence Day
India celebrated Independence Day on Friday, and global leaders joined to wish the country on the occasion.

French President Emmanuel Macron wished India and said he is looking forward to enhancing the strategic partnership towards 2047 and beyond.

In his statement, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu said: "Congratulations to my dear friend @PMOIndia @narendramodi and the people of India on your Independence Day."

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong greeted India and wrote on X: "Wishing my friend @DrSJaishankar, the people of India and our Indian-Australian communities a wonderful India Independence Day."
