Hyderabad techie dies by suicide after 6 months of wedding, family alleges dowry harrasment by husband
Hyderabad/IBNS: A 25-year-old software engineer committed suicide in Hyderabad, just six months after her wedding. Devika died by suicide at her Hyderabad home on Sunday night, media reports said.

Her husband Satish, also a techie, informed the police and Devika's family that she had hanged herself.
The couple got married six months back at a grand ceremony in Goa.
Following Devika's death, her family has alleged that Satish had been harassing her over dowry, and that had pushed her to the edge.
According to reports, Devika and Satish were colleagues and got into a relationship after they met at work.
They eventually decided to marry with content from both families. The wedding took place in August-end last year.
Local media reports said the couple had a fight on Sunday night after which Devika locked herself in a room.
She did not respond to Satish's knocks and he assumed she was sleeping.
When she did not come out of the room the next morning, he broke open the door to find her hanging. He then informed the police and her family.
In a complaint at Raidurgam police station, Devika's mother Ramalakshami alleged that Satish harassed her over dowry and this may have forced her to die by suicide.
Police are conducting a probe into the matter.
