Indian diaspora members feel excited about Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to USA
The Indian diaspora members are feeling excited about PM Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to the USA which will commence on Saturday.
They expressed their excitement and even appreciated Modi's leadership work in India.
Speaking to ANI, Prakash Shantilal Patel, a member of Indian diaspora in the US, said, “We are super excited to meet him. PM Modi is one of the excellent Prime Ministers of the country and he is famous in the world, so we are excited. Around 5,000 to 10,000 people from Gujarati community will meet him. We will definitely talk to him, if we get a chance.”
Arav Verma, a child from the Indian diaspora, told the news agency, “I am very excited to see PM Modi and I cannot wait to meet him. He did a lot of good stuffs for the country. He is one of my favourite leaders of all time.”
Modi is scheduled to address the Indian community members at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island on September 22.
The event is titled “Modi & US: Progress Together".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the United States of America during 21-23 September 2024.
During the visit, Prime Minister will take part in the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, which is being hosted by the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, Jr. on 21 September 2024.
Following the request of the US side to host the Quad Summit this year, India has agreed to host the next Quad Summit in 2025.
At the Quad Summit, the leaders will review the progress achieved by the Quad over the last one year and set the agenda for the year ahead to assist the countries of the Indo-Pacific region in meeting their development goals and aspirations.
On 23 September, Prime Minister will address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
