New Delhi/UNI: Amid the tussle over the Chief Minister post, Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar, who is one of the front runners, reached the national capital on Tuesday afternoon.

Shivakumar, who is determined to stake his claim for the CM post by crediting himself for the party's stupendous victory in the Assembly polls, is likely to meet party's top brass, sources said.

Earlier in the day, Shivakumar before leaving for Delhi categorically said, "Ours is a united house. I don't want to divide anyone. High command will decide the CM face."

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and party's Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala have arrived at the residence of the party president Mallikarjun Kharge here.

It may be mentioned that another front runner for the CM post, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress stalwart, Siddaramaiah, has been camping in the national capital since Monday.

Surjewala had earlier informed the party's central observers who had gone to Karnataka and held deliberations with its MLAs, and three others including two Independents, submitted their report to Kharge.

He informed that the Congress chief will look into the report besides holding deliberations, and then will take a call on the CM's post.

In the recently concluded Karnataka polls, the Congress won 135 Assembly seats out of 224 constituencies.
