Kashmir: Injured Punjab resident succumbs, toll reaches 2
Srinagar/UNI: A man from Punjab who was critically injured in a terror attack in Srinagar Wednesday evening succumbed to his wounds on Thursday morning, pushing the death toll from the incident up to two.
Officials said Rohit, who was critically wounded in the attack at Shaheed Gunj Srinagar, succumbed at the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at around 7:55 am.
Two workers from Amritsar Punjab, Amrit Pal (31) and Rohit Mashi (25) were attacked by unidentified militants on Wednesday evening when they were on their way to their rented accommodation in a Srinagar locality. Amrit Pal was the first victim of the targeted attack.
The killing of non-locals happened at a time when the Union government and LG administration are claiming to have brought normalcy to Jammu and Kashmir.
