Manipur: Killings of two school students by Kuki militants go viral, protests galore
Hundreds of students on Tuesday protested the alleged killing of two students in Manipur by suspected Kuki militants.

Hijam Linthoinganbi and Phijam Hemanjit, both residents of Imphal, were overpowered by some Kuki individuals on July 6 last.
The mobile phone used by one of them was also used by a Kuki woman at Churachandpur district.
Over 33 persons, including a former journalist, were reported missing after the Manipur crisis started on May 3.
The Manipur government ordered a CBI probe over the case of the two school students.
The whereabouts of the two students were not known until some photographs and videos emerged taken during their captivity on various social media platforms on Monday.
Chief Minister N Biren said actions will be taken against those involved in the killings.
People organised mass protests at various places. Large numbers of school children shouted slogans demanding punishment of those involved.
Police and Security personnel resorted to firing to chase away the students. Some girls were injured in the firing.
They alleged that heavily armed Kuki militants were seen in the photographs which went viral. Some Kuki individuals and their sympathisers also were seen mocking the two students on social media platforms.
Security was beefed up to control the crisis.
