Narendra Modi likely to visit Saudi Arabia this month: Reports

Indian PM Narendra Modi is likely to visit Saudi Arabia on April 22, media reports said.
While the finer details of the visit are being firmed up, the visit of PM Modi to the Kingdom comes after a gap of over 5 years, reported WION news.
During his visit to the Middle-East nation, Modi is likely to hold talks with Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince & Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, the news channel reported.
India Saudi Arabia Ties
India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoy close friendly relations reflecting the centuries old economic and socio-cultural ties. Diplomatic relations were established in 1947.
The historic visit of King Abdullah to India in January 2006 was a watershed moment that resulted in the signing of the ‘Delhi Declaration’.
"It was followed later by the ‘Riyadh Declaration’ in 2010 during the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to the Kingdom, which elevated the bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership," read the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia's website.
India is the 2nd largest trade partner of Saudi Arabia whereas Saudi Arabia is the 5th largest trading partner of India. In FY 2023-24, bilateral trade stood at USD 42.98 billion, with Indian exports at USD 11.56 billion and imports at USD 31.42 billion.
Indian investments in Saudi Arabia have also increased in recent years, reaching cumulative figure of approximately USD 3 billion in August 2023.
