Odisha: 12 die, 14 hurt due to lightning
As many as 12 people have died and 14 injured in 11 districts in Odisha due to lightning, Special Relief Commissioner Office (SRC) sources said.

SRC office sources told UNI the lightning claimed four people in Khordha, two in Bolangir and one each in Anugul, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Puri and Dhenkanal districts which witnessed heavy rainfall and lightning on Saturday.
SRC office here on Sunday said 8 people were injured in lightning in Bolangir , three in Khordha and Anugul , Cuttack, Ganjam reported one injured each.
In addition to it, six casualties of cattle were reported from Gajapati and two from Kandhmal.
An extra Tia of Rs four lakh will be paid to each of the bereaved families. In case of cattle death, assistance would be extended as admissible, SRC office sources here said.
