President Droupadi Murmu to reach Kerala today
Kochi/UNI: President Droupadi Murmu will reach Kerala in a special flight at the Cochin International Airport here at 1:40 pm on Thursday.
The President, who is on a visit to Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep from March 16 to 21, will proceed to INS Garuda to attend various programmes of Indian Navy including visit to the indigenously built Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant this afternoon.
After the programmes, Droupadi Murmu, who is on her maiden visit to Kerala after becoming the President, will leave for Thiruvananthapuram for the overnight stay.
On March 17, she will visit spiritual leader Matha Amrithanandamayi Devi at her Ashram at Karunagappally in Kollam.
Later, she will return to Thiruvananthapuram to inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of Kudumbashree at Udaya Palace Convention Centre at Kowdiar at 11:35 am.
On March 18, after completing a short visit to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, she will leave for Lakshadweep from Thiruvananthapuram. She will return to New Delhi via Kochi on March 21.
