Smriti Irani inaugurates two-day W-20 inception meet of G-20 summit
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar/UNI: Two-days long W-20 inception meeting of the G-20 World Summit was inaugurated on Monday by Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani at Hotel Rama International at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Pune, Maharashtra.
Chair G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, W20 President Dr Sandhya Purecha, Chief Coordinator Dharitri Patnaik, Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad, state cabinet minister Atul Save , Union minister of state for Railways Raosaheb Danve Patil, State cabinet and District Guardian Minister Sandipan Bhumre along with former G20 Presidents were present in the inauguration ceremony.
This is the inception meeting of W20 delegates taking place in this historical city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Five priority points being discussed in this meeting on Monday.
The representatives participating in the meeting have been divided into five groups and each group will discuss each priority area in two days.
Under India's presidency, W20 has given five priority points. It will focus on women's empowerment, climate resilience, and how women will play an important role in the changes that will take place, and how to create an enabling environment for grassroots women leaders. Infrastructure and Skills Wing .
Concentration will focus on education and skills to bridge the digital divide, pave the way for women, and India's development should be led by women led by women.
Today in this meeting, seminars will be held on women empowerment in nano, micro and start up industries, women led development of India, success stories of women.
There will be a group discussion on issues related to women at the global level.
Meanwhile, around 150 women representatives of the European Union and 19 countries have reached Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for this meeting.
All these representatives were welcomed in the traditional manner with the sound of instruments and the beat of Lezim.
Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar is one of the cities out of 56 selected to hold G-20 in the country.
